As you may know, wheat gluten has been implicated as a potential cause for the recall due to contamination from melamine.  We need to let you know that Country Vet Pet Foods are not part of the issued recall because our products do not contain wheat gluten.

We can assure you, our customer that we insist on the wholesome quality of the ingredients we put in our pet foods.  We have a rigorous system in place to monitor that our ingredients come from selected and tested suppliers.  Before the ingredients are  unloaded at our manufacturing facility samples are analyzed for foreign material, mycotoxins, nutrient content and evidence of rancidity in our modern laboratory.  We also send ingredient and actual pet food samples to independent labs for analysis of toxic and unsafe materials.  Our pet foods are manufactured and packaged in our designated, ruminant-free, state-of-the-art facilities under the watchful eyes of two Ph.D. nutritionists and our trained staff.
